WESTERN STONEWARE ceramic BEER STEIN 0.5L OX YOKE INN souvenir AMANA IOWA

Description

Offered for bidding is
a ceramic beer stein made by Western Stoneware, U.S.A.  It is made of eggshell-white ceramic, with a glazed finish (salt glazed?) and has a stamped image of a pair of oxen in a double yoke hitch, and the words "OX YOKE INN, AMANA, IOWA".  This inn has been a fixture in the Amana Colonies of Iowa for decades.  I am offering TWO identical steins, and the price is for ONE stein.  Contact seller if you want both, as postage discounts can be figured into the total.
Each stein stands 5 1/4 inches (13.3cm) tall, and measures 4 inches (10.2cm) in diameter at the base.  A U.S. quarter is shown in the third picture, to give an accurate impression of the size at a glance.  It holds 0.5 liter, allowing some room for foam.
There are no chips, cracks, or scratches on this mug.  The glaze is smooth with no crazing, and the transfer image is bright with no discoloration or fading.  The Maple Leaf mark on the bottom (pictures 6 and 7) was used by Western Stoneware

I pack all fragile items in sturdy cartons with plenty of cushioning.  I can combine shipping if you win more than one of my auctions/sales IF doing so will not risk breakage of fragile items.  Shipping time given is a HIGH estimate; I can usually ship faster than the estimated time.
