    Description

    Presented is a neat sterling silver box made in Thailand. The square box has a hinged lid engraved with a scene of a Buddhist figure surrounded with intricate flowers, scrolls and other designs. The engraving is very nicely done against a black niello enameled background. All of the work is superb quality. The interior of the box is lined with wood. The box was most likely made around the 1940s.
    The underside of the box is marked Sterling Made in Siam.
    The condition is excellent. The hinged lid is working well. There are no dents, no splits, no monograms, no monogram removals, no breaks, and no repairs.
    The box measures 3 3/4 inches by 4 1/2 inches by 1 1/4 inches.
    The weight is 289.4 grams or 10.1 ounces.
