    Description

Two original antique Japanese woodblock prints from a triptych titled "Kariba Kudo jinya no zu" (Kudô in Camp by the Hunting Grounds) by Utagawa Hiroshige (1797-1858).  Both prints had previously been "merged" together and mounted on cardboard to form a continuous picture.  Small pieces have been cut from the left edge of the left print and used to "connect" the two prints.  These cutouts are covered by a matting.  The board the prints are mounted on had split at some point and a repair was made.  All of this can be seen in the photos.  The combined prints measure 14" high by 19" wide.  With the matting over the prints, the viewable image measures 13.5" by 17" wide.  Housed in a wood frame under glass, measuring 19" by 25".  Aside from the condition described and photographed, the pictures are still clear with vivid colors.  Please send any questions or if you would like me to send you additional photos.
