    About Us
    In 1962,
Rick (RickyDean) sculpted his first skull in clay (last image) and continues today
    making one-of-a-kind Items.
    In
    2003
, BawdyPartz was created (after the death of his wife)
making shift knobs for Harley Davidson and Indian motorcycles.
    The old Flathead's, Knucklehead's, Panhead's, Chief's and Scout's needed some skull
tank shift knobs, suicide shift knobs, and jockey shift knobs.
Now making knobs, nuts, bolts, billiard accessories
    and
many other small custom parts of resin.
BawdyPartz is Cottage Industry (also known as Leather Rose, since 1990) in the gold rush town of Sonora, California making small custom parts in the likeness of body parts (cast in resin) and often sculpted or assembled from body parts such as bone, horn, ivory, leather , and teeth.

    About the Artists history
Before his birth, RickyDean's maternal grandfather (Bill) was a coffin maker at National Casket Co. in New York.
    There was an
epidemic at the time and Bill was working a tremendous amount of overtime.
His grandmother (Ester) spent much of her time keeping the family together and Bill company during his long hard hours.
They used a casket as a playpen for LillyVee (Rick's mother) as there was often sawdust, wood and fabric scraps littering the floor.
Bill's sister died in that epidemic and he made the casket that she was laid to rest in.  From the remanence of her casket, Bill fashioned a miniature replica that is now a cherished reminder of Rick's heritage as it proudly rests now in his office along with many other macabre relics and collectibles.
