Rare Amazing Vintage 1970s Ford Motor Company Auto Ad Brass Printing Plate

For sale is an amazing Original Ford Motor Company Brass Printing Plate measuring approximately 23-1/8” long by 15” tall.  This great printing plate was used for a full double-paged Advertisement for the 1971 Ford LTD Brougham 2-door Hardtop in the October 16, 1970 edition of Life Magazine.  The Ad was espousing the virtues of a quiet ride based on recent Psychological Research about noise pollution.  In addition to a number of other unique markings, the Ad states that “Studies show that excessive noise can bring on anxiety, bizarre bodily sensations and personality disintegration” and “For fast, fast relief, the quiet ’71 Ford LTD”.   Please note that these statements are stamped backwards in the printing plate so that, once printed, they will be readable.  The plate is in lovely Vintage condition with the expected wear for its age and usage including a wonderful patina, oxidation and surface wear all of which ad to its authenticity.  This piece has an Industrial Artisan quality that makes it the perfect display piece whether framed on a wall, displayed on a stand or integrated into a door panel, table or other industrial piece of furniture and a perfect addition to any collection.  Please examine all photographs carefully prior to purchase.
