Title:Old Miniature Lidded Stein
Description:
Presented for your consideration is this neat little miniature lidded stein. The stein is a souvenir from Mader's Restaurant in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The famous German restaurant opened in 1902 and was best known for being a beer tavern/bar. When Prohibition hit, Celia Mader (the wife of the founder) began creating German dishes to save the business. In 1933 at the end of the Prohibition, Mader's was the first to serve a legal stein of beer in Milwaukee. The restaurant is still in business today and is still family owned and operated. This little stein has a painted pewter base with light blue lettering on the front that reads "Mader's Famous Restaurant Milwaukee" and it is finished with a small pewter lid, complete with thumb pull. The lid easily opens and closes. Guaranteed to be all original. Would make a great addition to any advertising, miniature, or beer stein collection!
Typical age wear. Overall in VERY GOOD condition. Please refer to the photos for the absolute best details.
Measures 1" from the front edge to the back of the handle, 3/4" in diameter at the bottom and 1 3/8" tall.
