The Lisle 52750 Stethoscope Kit is a dual-purpose set that detects both mechanical and air-induced sounds. Use the black diaphragm chamber and screw-in metal probe to detect mechanical sounds from bearings, engines, and transmissions. For detecting air-induced sounds, attach the vinyl hose to the hollow tube and funnel assembly. The funnel amplifier will detect noises from vacuum leaks, exhaust leaks, air leaks, and wind noise. For hard-to-reach areas, you can remove the funnel and use the hollow tube instead.

1 Jun 20The product was delivered to my local Home Depot store about 2 weeks before it was supposed to have been there. I haven't used the stethoscope on any projects but did play around with it an it seems to work fine. As others have mentioned the ear pieces are on a very strong metal spring the makes it hurt to wear the stethoscope for more than a minute or so but it is easy enough to take off and on when no actually listening for something.
