    Description

    Japanese 970 silver salt and pepper shakers in the form of lanterns, featuring decorative medallions on each side.
    The finials unscrew for filling, one pierced 5 holes (for pepper) and one with 10 holes (for salt).
    These wonderful shakers are approximately 1.25 inches in diameter at the base and stand approximate 3.25 inches tall including the finial. The pair weigh approximately 2 oz Troy.
    Each is marked "Silver 970" on the bottoms.
    The soft, warm, original finish is present, with no buffing or machine polishing.
    The excellent original condition and clear, crisp detail, with no monograms, removals, repairs or alterations, make this an especially attractive offering.
