You will receive THREE of these tip protectors, because I (like many metal detectorists) have a backup pin pointer, and figure you might as well. The third you can give away to a hunting buddy... or keep it as a backup to your backup!
To install the tip protector, you will need to FIRMLY press the tip over the end of the Pro-Find 25.  The material will stretch (as shown in the second photo), ensuring a completely non-slip attachment over the end of the Minelab Pro-Find 25. Use your palm at the end to ensure it is firmly pressed against the tip's end. Once installed, no other maintenance is required.
If you are like me, you've tried tape, dips, and even purchased sheath-type protectors.
While they all work for a while,
none of them will last as long as a SINGLE one of these tip protectors

I'd be surprised if you ever make it through one, let alone 2 of them! ... and 3 for .99, even if you replace your protector, get a second as a backup, or just give them out to your hunting buddies, you can't go wrong. Definitely cheaper than dipping, taping, or buying other protectors, and removal leaves no residue!
During testing, I used this exact material construction on my own pinpointer for more than four months, before being satisfied with the quality. Even after thousands of recoveries, there's virtually no wear. The protector is solid enough that you will be able to swirl the dirt around, move it aside, and dig in soft earth while looking for your object, all without fear of wearing down the tip or compromising the integrity of the housing.
