    Description

Presented is a fine China trade silver bell with mother-of-pearl handle. This piece dates to the early 1800s. The bell is done in a simple classical style with a beaded rim. The handle is beautifully made from mother-of-pearl, with a flower form silver cap on the end.
There are no hallmarks or stamps, which is not unusual for a China trade piece of this time period. The silver is guaranteed at least 850 purity.
The bell is in great condition. The handle is securely mounted, with no splits or separations. The clapper of the bell is a replacement, but works beautifully and the bell has a sweet sound.
The bell is about 5 1/2 inches tall.
The bell weighs 137 grams or 4.8 regular ounces.
