    Description

    A set of 3 pieces of antique silver garniture, Siam, Thailand, circa 1900.
    Richly decorated with leaves and deities. The bowls are carried by elephants.
    Provenance:
    From the collection of Johan Erik Evald Hultman (1876-1958).
    Hultman was a Swedish diplomat, in 1911 he became the Swedish Envoyé in Shanghai.
    He returned once more to Asia after a post in Germany,
    and was the Swedish Envoyé in Japan and China 1928-37, Siam included from 1931.
    Chinese character hallmark.
    Height of the large tazza 28 cm.
    Height of the small tazza 13.5 cm.
    Diameter of the large bowls 29 cm.
    Diameter of bowl 12 cm.
